Whirlwind Wednesday #FOTD

Morning is it really only Wednesday?  I been up early today, the baby didn’t want to sleep.  I spent most of yesterday networking & in meetings, I  didn’t get chance to share about either or post about my make up, but I’m going to try and play catch up today between work, pole and paying a visit to Great Orman Street Hospital where they monitor and regularly check my baby boy. Anyone else’s days seem to be non stop?

Anyway here is my make up today, I feel so tired im surprised it doesn’t look like it’s been applied by a child!

My Sunday Signature, A bit about Me & My Business behind the Blog

Thought this picture sums me up as the quirky, crazy, passionate, enthusiastic  mumpreneur behind this blog I keep writing.

I know I blog about beauty a lot but it’s actually my business and a massive passion of mine.  I understand so many behind the scenes elements of the business behind beauty, through the brands I’ve worked with and running my own beauty room. Through intensive beauty training Im also knowledgeable on the products, how to use them, the ingredients and the benefits. I share this knowledge with my clients all the time when advising them on products, routines and treatments, I promise I’ll try and remember to explain my reasonings & choices more in my blogs because it’s normally on a knowledge basis and it’s good to know!

So what do I know & how do I use my knowledge other than blogging…
💋I worked for Estee Lauder & Christian Dior, I got some of the best make up training from the worldwide make up artists I got to work alongside, this was such a fun time in my career.
💋I have an ITEC Beauty Specialist qualification that’s recognised in over 33 countries  worldwide.
💋I have been on training courses with Fake Bake and am a recognised tan expert
💋I’m a Qualified OPI Gelcolor Technician
💋I run a beauty room located within Athena Fitness Gravesend thats open Tues-Sat
💋I have had several features writing the beauty section of Kent Women In Business Magazine
💋I guest speak (ramble-often) at networking events talking about different aspects of my business
💋I support school career projects. By giving my time doing talks and sharing my experiences
💋 I host princess parties (I’m trained in face painting) and I get to spend the whole time making little girls sparkle and we all get to wear tiaras!! I also host mummy & princess days with the support of some fab local businesses!
💋I host events where I support and work alongside as many local traders as I can squeeze in to offer guests indulgent Pamper & Shopping evenings that have the most amazing friendly, fun atmosphere, luxury treatments and tons to buy buy buy! Plus goody bags and we always support a different charity through our raffle!
💋I am about to launch workshops to share my knowledge and enhance women’s confidence in beauty and make up, I’m so excited about this.

I do all this around and with the love and support of my gorgeous other half, beautiful sons and a mum who is amazing & always on hand for nanny duties. But it doesn’t always come easy sometimes jugglers have to stop and take time out, and sometimes I just have to focus. I’ll be sharing with you more this week on the time I’ve had out to reflect whilst off on maternity this year, the people who have helped me and what is coming for the very near future …plus finally a new website!

June my first ever GlossyBox all Pretty & Pink

I loved this box from the moment it arrived, a gorgeous brown parcel opened to a glossy pale pink, inside printed tissue tied with a bow a stuck with a GlossyBox sticker. Immediate wow factor and making me excited for what’s inside.

The contents of this box did not fail to dissapoint for only £10 I felt they had perhaps mistakenly put in too much they spoilt me with indulgent hair and beauty products including;

So Susan Universal Blush
Gorgeous, dainty & fun packaging would bring out the girliness in anyone I love it! Inside is a blusher perfect for summer, it works with skins natural chemistry to create a natural blush that contour highlights and tones in all the right places. Infused with Beriti fruit oil, it nourishes skin whilst giving UV protection and reducing redness!! Plus I got a full size so I’m feeling extra spoilt!

NailGirls, 3 in 1
strengthener, base & top coat. I found this really hard to extend vocabulary over, it does its job, it keeps nails strong under polish and the shine stays a few days after application. As an all round 3 in 1 it’s great and easy to use, dries quickly and… Is clear hahaha sorry I have millions of polishes and prep and finish products it’s good honest

No hairbrush used just bed head and this amazing stuff…
Got2Be Rise & Shine Souffle
OMG!!! I wanted to eat this as soon as I opened it, it’s jasmine infused scent of divine and it looks like the strawberry mouse I used to eat as a kid! But it rocks for her hair too, I’ve been using it to create loose curls and waves and just capture a bit of body in my Skinny straight hair… Now it’s got body and I wanna eat it! Love this product, go find it in a shop and smell it, it’s cool just blame me it’s worth it!

Teez Trend Cosmetics, Beautiful Flat Stiff Brush.
This has an awesome design if two of my fav things… Flamingos and make up so I think they are user cool, they are also fantastic brushes. This oneapploes all types of eyeshadows with ease, is big enough to grab the perfect amount to sweep and contoured enough to beautifully blend contours.

Roger & Gallet Fleur De figuire Discovery Ritual
I love that in this sample you get the opportunity to really experience it by layering the fragrances to create an all over irresistible scent. Created by perfumer Francis Kurkdijan this fragrance inspired by a Mediterranean garden is the perfect of fruits, floral and fig. Lasted all day and got two compliments, not bad, I always judge a fragrance by how others smell it on me.

You can subscribe to GlossyBox here and recieve beautiful indulgent beauty boxes just like this one delivered to your door each month, sometimes they are even themed like July’s Stars & Stripes.

Don’t forget let me know you are out there like and comment below.

P.s it’s nice and warm so as you can prob tell from some of the oh so dodgy selfies I set myself up outside on my eldest trampoline, I ♥ blogging!

Assessing your Skincare Needs – What’s your Skin Type?

To know why your skin needs in the way of products first you really need to get to know your skin, you need to be sure on your skin type, your skin concerns and any other factors that may effect what your skin requires. Below I have out together the real basics of Skin types so you can knowingly pick the right Skincare for you.

That’s without considering other factors that effect your skin including sun rays, ageing, environmental factors, pollution, hormones and diet all things to keep in mind when picking your products.

So what’s your skin type? What’s the main concern you try to target or protect yourself from in your Skincare? My eyes are super sensitive so I use a calming roller ball eye cream it’s lovely!

A Sneak Peek Of the Wedding Make-Up from Saturday

So this is just a quick share of the beautiful Bride I got the pleasure of working for this past weekend, Fay was one of the most calm cool and collected brides I think I have ever worked with. I had so much fun with her and all the Bridal party I can’t wait to share more details and photos at a later date.

All that’s left to do for now is wish this gorgeous couple a lifetime of happiness together, congratulations Mr & Mrs O’Grady

My Top 5 things about being a Bridal Make Up Artist

1. The buzz starts with the first moment I meet the bride, there is nothing more exciting then meeting someone planning their special day. The first time I meet them is usually at the trial, I love going through my portfolio discussing their likes and dislikes and ideas for what they want to create the perfect look. We then play …. Lots until we achieve that wow moment when she looks in the mirror.

2.my make up kit is huge having been in the industry for nearly ten years, having worked with some of the top make up houses such as Christian Dior & Estée Lauder plus having a serious beauty obsession means my kit is huge! (yet highly organised.)

3. The Day the laughter, the emotions, the giggles, the Buck’s Fizz and last minute hiccups I love it all, Yes on a professional level I’m there as a make up artist but more often than not it comes back to that buzz of being involved in something so special! I have been known to help in anyway I can tying dresses, putting on shoes all sorts me but its fabulous just fabulous!

4. Seeing The Photographs whilst I’m slow updating my website gallery I love when a bride sends me a link for her photographers album, the natural shots are always my favourite after all I’m a make up artist who believes in enhancing the brides natural beauty and always feel these photos capture the look, emotions and everything about the day best. Just look at this bride below, not a lot of make up needed just natural perfection, isn’t she beautiful!

5. The compliments It’s a big choice for a bride to pick me, and i think its a massive deal. Not because I don’t think I’m good enough I know I am, I have been enjoying my job for years and am always practising and developing my knowledge. It’s a big deal because this is one of the biggest days of their lives and they want me to be involved! I think it is one of the most blessed and complimentary parts of my job. I also am greatful for the wonderful feedback I recieve, it’s lovely to be a memory in such a special day.

Arbonne Make Overs

    So what happens when you get me, a massive Arbonne Make-Up Kit & lots of models with a camera over a weekend …. A fab make over photo shoot. I had so much fun making over the models I just had to share with you my results, on each of the pictures details of the products used have been given, if they are not on the photo they are detailed underneath. Arbonne is a direct selling company in the growing health & wellness industry and a company I have chosen to work with through my work Sweet Cheeks Beauty if you would like more information, to try products, or find out more about e business opportunity please get in touch sweetcheeksbeauty@yahoo.co.uk

    All of the models skin was prepped using the RE9 & FC5 Arbonne Skincare ranges, I will be posting more about these facial products and facial services very soon! None of the models are professional models, instead I used methods of table surfing (me standing on the table making the whole thing rock), stupid faces and general foolish behaviour just to make the girls laugh, loosen up and to capture the most natural beauty I could.

    First up we have Trayc. Trayc is an Image Stylist you can check out her website here, so I had the extra advantage of Trayc knowing exactly what shades and hues complemented her natural skin tone as a “Spring” I had the disadvantage however of Trayc not enjoying having her picture taken and not often liking her photo, this was my first challenge of the day.
    Here is The review Trayc sent me after, I love reading reviews they remind me why I’m passionate about what I do; (you can read the full review on my website)

    Stefani worked her magic on my face, I don’t usually wear a lot of make-up as I don’t have the guts to and worry that I’m going to look like a 3 year old who who has got hold of her mummies make up bag, so I was really thrilled to look as good as I did. I felt for the first time in a long time that my skin was flawless and I loved my eye make up.
    I was going to a function in the evening so was able to keep my make-up on for this, my make-up was applied at 11am & I didn’t have to do any touch ups for the evening except for lipgloss.
    Just want to say Thank you to Stefani for my Arbonne Make over, I loved every minute of it!
    Love Trayc. xxx

    The products I used on Trayc were all from the Arbonne kit & include;
    MakeUp Primer. Perfecting Liquid Foundation Honey Beige. Blush Merlot.
    Eyeshadow highlighter: Snow Eyeshadows: Ocean, Titanium & Blue Slate.
    Eyeliner liquid black with blue slate over top. False lashes blended with triple action mascara.
    Lip Moisturiser. Lip liner: ginger. Lipstick: Satin. Lipgloss: Nude

    Next up we have Clare out for a Vegas themed event that night, we were making Clare up as Marilyn Monroe, one of my idols SOOO beautiful, just like my lovely model!

    The products from the kit I used included;
    MakeUp Primer. Perfecting Liquid Foundation, Buff. Creme Conceler Light. Blush, Soft touch of Blossom. Eyeshadows: Linen, Suede & Java. Liquid eyeliner Black.
    Triple Action Mascara to blend false lashes
    Lip moisturiser. Lipliner; Cherry. Lipstick; Runway Rouge.
    Added Marilyn touch of brown mole using cocoa eyeliner.

    My next beautiful model was Kaleigh easy to work with and a beauty behind the camera, Kaleighs beautiful skin was an easy canvas to work from.

    This time I used products from the kit including;
    MakeUp Primer. Concealer, light. Tinted Moisturiser Light. Bronzer. Blush, Ballet.
    Eyeshadows; Vanilla, Linen & Java. Eyeliner; cocoa. Triple Action Mascara.
    Lip Moisturiser. Lip Liner, Pink Mauve. LipStick; Rose Petal. Lipgloss; Posh.

    Kaleigh was followed by Hannah and Kerrie, I already had a plan in mind for both these gorgeous girls, I wanted to create a soft delicate look for Hannah using soft links and gentle browns whilst with kerrie I wanted string green eyes to accentuate the big brown eyes she has.

    On Hannah the products I used can be seen in the picture.
    On Kerrie I used;
    MakeUp Primer. Tinted Moisturiser Light. Concealer medium. Bronzer.
    Eyeshadows linen (highlighter) moss, ivy & titanium. Ivy as liner. Triple action Mascara.
    Lip Moisturiser. Lipliner; Ginger. Lipstick; Satin. Lipgloss; Nude.

    My friend Christie popped in and wanted me to try the kit on her as she often reacts with products, but knew I have chosen to work with a completely safe, natural and botanical product in Arbonne. So with that in mind and just wanting to try something light we created a soft natural look using
    MakeUp Primer. Creme Concealer, light. Tinted Moisturiser, light. Bronzer. Blush, taffeta.
    Eyeshadows; Linen, Indigo & Chocolate. Triple Action Mascara.
    Lip Moisturiser. LipLiner; pink mauve. Lipstick; Candy.

    My mum also volunteered we had time to try a couple of looks with her and really try different things with the make up some really suited her and others not so much, but for someone Whois used to being the other side of the camera my mummy looks pretty beautiful xoxo

    From the Arbonne kit I created a strong daytime look and soft and subtle, sophisticated evening look. The only changes were the eyes and lips;
    Make up Primer. Creme Concealer (light). Sheer Finish Tinted Moisturiser (light). Blush (dusty rose)
    Eyeshadows: Linen, Lilac & Divine Plum for the evening adding a blend of; Titanium
    Triple Action Mascara
    Lip Moisturiser with Sunscreen. Lip Liner; Rum Raisin. Lipstick in Jam evening look softened with touch of gloss in Posh to lighten lips & accentuate.

    Chloe wanted to try something more out there and we created large smoky eyes to go with her goddess look and long thick soft curls using;
    MakeUp Primer. Concealer, Medium. Perfecting Liquid Foundation, Neutral Beige. Bronzer. Blusher; sunset to apples of cheeks.
    Eyeshadows;Java & Chocolate. Eyeliner; liquid brown & chocolate eyeshadow. Triple Action Mascara.
    Lip Moisturiser. LipLiner Pink Mauve. Lipstick Shell. Lipgloss; Nude.

    I know I could of broken these into lots of different blogs but thought I would share them with you all at once, obviously I am an indecent distributor for Arbonne but I choose to work with brands I believe in, if you would like to know more about the Arbonne opportunity or how to order products please email me at sweetcheeksbeauty@yahoo.co.uk
